Presence of microplastics in the stomach contents of marine fish associated with FADs (Fish Aggregating Devices)

FADs (Fish Aggregating Devices) are floating structures placed in the offshore marine environment by fishermen to attract fish species and increase fishing yields. The different species of juveniles associated with FADs have already been used as a case of study for various aspects of trophic ecology and behavior. In this study we will  investigate if the microplastics suspended in the water column can be ingested randomly or because they are mistaken as zooplankton from juveniles of fish species.
